The name is found again in the Midrashic text Kohelet Rabba where a healer of the grandson of Rabbi Yehoshua ben Levi is described as being of ben Pandera, andreas single herford.


The source of this account is Shabbat and Avodah Zarah 40 in the Jerusalem Talmud, but there ben Pandera is not mentioned.
